Basketball Recap: Cary Comes Up Short

Cary lost against Green Level back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cary Imps came up short against the Green Level Gators, falling 49-23. The game marked the Imps' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Tanaija Patterson was Cary's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Kyndall Brewington took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Leading Green Level to victory were Ryan Baker and Claire Barber. Baker went 6 for 11 on her way to 17 points, while Barber posted 15 points and five rebounds. Barber's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lindley Miller, who put up five points in addition to six boards and three blocks.

Cary dropped their record down to 5-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Green Level, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Cary wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 40-34 defeat against Franklinton on the 21st. As for Green Level, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 38-33 loss against Broughton on the 20th.
