Volleyball Recap: University Prep Comes Up Short

University Prep was the 3-1 winner over Riverside Prep when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Jaguars fell 3-1 to the Silver Knights on Tuesday. While the Jaguars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Silver Knights 25-18 in the first set.

University Prep started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-22, 25-14, 27-25.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverside Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aubrey Duran, who had 13 kills and four aces. That's the most aces Duran has posted since back in August.

University Prep now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Riverside Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season.

University Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Excelsior Charter on the 11th. As for Riverside Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Hesperia Christian on the 11th.
