Soccer Game Preview: La Serna vs. Pasadena

The La Serna Lancers will take on the Pasadena Bulldogs in a tournament on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

La Serna will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Sonora, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Lancers walked away with a 4-2 win over the Raiders on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what La Serna needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Meanwhile, Pasadena waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Apaches get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. That's two games straight that Pasadena have won by exactly two goals.

Braden Ahrens and Tobias Gonzalez scored both of Pasadena's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

La Serna's record now sits at 3-5-1. As for Pasadena, their record is now 5-1-1.

La Serna suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Pasadena when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can the Lancers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
