Nebraska high school football: Week 9 schedule, scores

This weekend's Nebraska high school football schedule is headlined by No. 6 Elkhorn South (Omaha) hitting the road to tackle No. 19 Omaha North. Both teams have won six games in a row.

Since dropping a 33-0 decision to Millard South (Omaha) on Sept. 1, Elkhorn South has been dominant. The Storm have won each of their last four games by 35 points or more with Brady Bousquet powering a ground game that averages 276 yard per contest.

Omaha North has allowed a total of 23 points in its last five games. The Vikings also like to keep it on the ground (206 rushing yards per game) with sophomore Jaron Cannon as the primary ballcarrier.

In other action this weekend, unbeaten No. 7 Norfolk Catholic (Norfolk) puts its 21-game winning streak on the line against Cedar Catholic (Hartington). No. 11 Lincoln East hosts 6-2 Gretna and 5-3 Norfolk tackles No. 9 Kearney on the road.

After dropping a 21-14 decision to Ord last weekend, No. 22 Broken Bow will try to get back in the win column when it hosts 5-3 Gothenburg.
