Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Refugio). They put the hurt on the Yorktown Wildcats with a sharp 23-4 victory on Tuesday. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Laken Cancino, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Aubrey Brown was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.

Refugio always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .771. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Refugio now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Yorktown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Refugio is taking a road trip to take on Port Aransas at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Yorktown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
