Preview: Warren Warriors vs. Sotomayor WILDCATS

The Warren Warriors will be playing at home against the Sotomayor WILDCATS at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sotomayor took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Warren, who comes in off a win.

Warren fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 21-10 win over Stevens on Thursday.

Warren relied on the efforts of Lorenzo Ramirez, who gained 100 total yards and a touchdown, and Trevion Mitchell, who rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.

Another reason for the win was Warren's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 13 sacks. It was a group effort, with five picking up two apiece.

Meanwhile, Sotomayor's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. Their tough 38-17 defeat to O'Connor might stick with them for a while.

The losing side was boosted by Henry Alonzo, who threw for 159 yards and two touchdowns.

Warren now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Sotomayor, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Warren against Sotomayor in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 41-9 win. Will Warren repeat their success, or does Sotomayor have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
