Basketball Game Preview: Pisgah Bears vs. East Henderson Eagles

Pisgah is 10-0 against East Henderson since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Pisgah Bears will head out on the road to square off against the East Henderson Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Pisgah knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully East Henderson likes a good challenge.

Last Thursday, Pisgah was fully in charge, breezing past Tuscola 66-16. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Pisgah found their leader in sophomore Jade Cody, who went 7 for 13 on her way to 15 points and seven rebounds. Those 15 points gave Cody a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Campbell, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 11 points and three steals.

Pisgah smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, East Henderson had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 30-23 win over North Henderson on Thursday.

Pisgah's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for East Henderson, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Everything came up roses for Pisgah against East Henderson when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 59-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pisgah since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
