Basketball Recap: New London-Spicer's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

New London-Spicer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 73-56 to the Rockford Rockets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 66-59 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

New London-Spicer's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-4. As for Rockford, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the New London-Spicer Wildcats take on the Annandale Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Annandale knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully New London-Spicer likes a good challenge. As for Rockford, they will be home for the holidays to greet Zimmerman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
