Anson is 1-9 against West Stanly since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Anson Bearcats will be playing at home against the West Stanly Colts at 6:00 p.m. West Stanly took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Anson, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Anson made easy work of Monroe and carried off a 16-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Anson.
Za?kiyah Hixson was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Allie Steagall was another key contributor, going 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and a triple.
Meanwhile, West Stanly fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against East Rowan on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result.
