Basketball Recap: Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Florida School for the Deaf & Blind entered their tilt with Texas School for the Deaf on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They secured a 41-37 W over the Texas School for the Deaf Rangers. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 211th in Florida, while the Rangers are ranked 648th in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Florida School for the Deaf & Blind pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.3 points per game. As for Texas School for the Deaf, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-4.

Florida School for the Deaf & Blind will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Joseph Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th.
