Basketball Recap: Bullock Creek Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bullock Creek can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Freeland Falcons and fell 77-50. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 64-45 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2019.

Wilson Huckeby was his usual excellent self, shooting 50% from the field on his way to 28 points and five assists for Freeland. That makes it three consecutive games in which Huckeby has scored at least a third of Freeland's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Hileman, who went 7-for-9 en route to 18 points.

Bullock Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Freeland, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.

Bullock Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Freeland, they have already played their next matchup, a 61-30 victory against Swan Valley on the 28th.
