Basketball Recap: Raymondville Has No Trouble Against San Isidro

Raymondville won the last time they faced San Isidro and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bearkats enjoyed a cozy 52-38 victory over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bearkats.

Raymondville had a senior duo take command as Diego Villegas posted 14 points in addition to five boards and five steals and Jaden Mendez dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Mendez has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jose Hernandez, who scored ten points and five boards.

Raymondville's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for San Isidro, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raymondville will host Lasara at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Isidro, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Premont at 8:00 p.m.
