Vanguard won the last time they faced Forest and things went their way on Friday too. The Knights walked away with a 19-6 win over the Wildcats. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Wildcats are ranked 243rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Vanguard and bumps their season record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 points in those games. As for Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Coming up, after each having a week off, Vanguard and Auburndale will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on the 14th. The Bloodhounds' defense has only allowed 10.7 points per game this season, so the Knights' offense will have their work cut out for them. Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
