Basketball Game Preview: Jensen Beach Falcons vs. Okeechobee Brahmans

For the first time this season, Jensen Beach will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to challenge the Okeechobee Brahmans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jensen Beach is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.6 points per game this season.

On Tuesday, Jensen Beach was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-51 to Treasure Coast. The Falcons were up 31-15 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Jensen Beach's loss came about despite a quality game from Charles Alexander, who shot 64% from the field en route to 18 points and seven rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Alexander now owns an excellent 47.2% field goal percentage. Tavareon Newson was another key player, going 5-for-10 on his way to 15 points.

Meanwhile, Okeechobee played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Port St. Lucie, falling 64-28. The Brahmans have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Okeechobee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Jensen Beach, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Jensen Beach couldn't quite finish off Okeechobee in their previous meeting back in February and fell 55-53. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
