Football Recap: Baird Takes a Loss

Baird's last matchup with Eden could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Bears were beaten by the Bulldogs 64-36. The Bears just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Baird's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Eden, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baird will venture away from home to square off against Gorman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 45.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Eden, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Leakey at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
