Basketball Recap: Coon Rapids' Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Coon Rapids was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 72-64 to the Irondale Knights. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Jake Dedominces continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Irondale, almost dropping a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. Dedominces' afternoon made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Cameron Cramble was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Coon Rapids' loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-5. As for Irondale, their victory ended an 18-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coon Rapids will host Two Rivers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Irondale, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Stillwater at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
