Softball Recap: Green Ridge Finds Home Field Redemption Against Leeton

There's no place like home for Green Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on the Leeton Bulldogs with a sharp 11-4 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Kayden Box, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Kali Young was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Green Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Leeton, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-2.

Coming up, Green Ridge will challenge Northwest at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leeton, they will face off against Osceola at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
