Softball Recap: Collins' Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Collins took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Fern Creek, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Titans skirted past the Tigers 4-3. While the Titans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Collins' win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-2. As for Fern Creek, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Collins didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-1 defeat against North Oldham on the 11th. As for Fern Creek, they will head out to take on Russell at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Devils have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
