Basketball Recap: Dominion Christian Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

After losing to Young Americans Christian the last time they met, Dominion Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Dominion Christian Knights snuck past the Young Americans Christian Eagles with a 67-61 victory on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Despite the loss, Young Americans Christian still got an impressive performance from Damian Crawford, who posted 33 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Crawford's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Joshua Poole was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 13 boards.

Dominion Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Young Americans Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.

Dominion Christian will take on Furtah Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Furtah Prep will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Dominion Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Young Americans Christian, they and Creekside Christian Academy will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
