Basketball Preview: Middletown Christian Eagles vs. Franklin Monroe Jets
After two games on the road, Middletown Christian is heading back home. They will take on the Franklin Monroe Jets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Middletown Christian suffered their closest defeat since January 9th on Saturday. They fell just short of Woodward by a score of 55-52.
Meanwhile, Franklin Monroe's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 49-22 loss at the hands of Arcanum. Franklin Monroe has not had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Middletown Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Franklin Monroe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
Middletown Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over the Jets when the teams last played back in November of 2022, winning 50-42. Will Middletown Christian repeat their success, or do the Jets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
