Shadow Mountain snaps 14-game streak of losses at home

Recap: Shadow Mountain Matadors vs. Moon Valley Rockets

The Shadow Mountain Matadors's five-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They came out on top against Moon Valley by a score of 41-29. The victory was just what Shadow Mountain needed coming off of a 57-22 defeat in their prior matchup.

Brinley Lensch was the offensive standout of the matchup as she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cheyenne Hanna, who scored six points along with six steals.

Shadow Mountain's victory ended a 14-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12. As for Moon Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Shadow Mountain won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Yuma at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. Yuma is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Paradise Honors presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Moon Valley in Arizona (Paradise Honors is ranked 67th, while Moon Valley is ranked 244th).
