Basketball Recap: Calvary Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

Calvary Baptist Academy was the 41-32 winner over Webberville when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Calvary Baptist Academy Kings fell 48-39 to the Webberville Spartans on Friday. The Kings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Webberville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jennavieve Lycos, who dropped a double-double on 12 boards and ten assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Proctor, who went 8 for 12 on her way to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Calvary Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Webberville, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Calvary Baptist Academy has already played their next match (against Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Webberville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-15 defeat against St. Patrick on the 20th.
