Charlotte Latin waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the High Point Christian Academy Cougars. The Hawks were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Cougars, so the Hawks were just returning the favor.

Charlotte Latin found their leader in sophomore Ryan Burrell, who had 11 digs and six assists. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Burrell.

Charlotte Latin's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for High Point Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charlotte Latin will challenge Christ the King at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for High Point Christian Academy, they will host Hickory Grove Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
