Softball Recap: Putnam Comes Up Short

Putnam fell victim to Wheeler and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 14-0 to the Lions. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Clippers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Putnam saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Paquette, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Putnam is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8. As for Wheeler, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Putnam will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Killingly at 6:00 p.m. As for Wheeler, they will square off against New London at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
