Volleyball Recap: Mount St. Mary Academy Beats Mount Mercy Academy for Their Third Straight Victory

While Mount St. Mary Academy's win against Mount Mercy Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Thunder narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Magic 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Thunder as they're now sitting on three straight.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Mount St. Mary Academy who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 23-25, 25-11, 22-25, 15-8.

Isabella Kilonsky paced Mount St. Mary Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Kilonsky got some help from Claire Gaulin and her 24 assists. Alannah Hapeman controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Mount St. Mary Academy now has a winning record of 11-10-1. As for Mount Mercy Academy, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15.
