 Goodland was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat. They fell just short of the Scott Beavers by a score of  6-5. That's two games in a row now that Goodland has lost by  just one  run.
  Kaleb Williams was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Williams was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Williams wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Cole Linton, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
 Even though they lost, Goodland  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That's the fewest  strikeouts they've managed all season.
 Goodland's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Scott, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with that  victory, which was their third straight  at home.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goodland will take on Wray at 3:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Goodland is facing Wray at the right time seeing as Wray is stuck on  a  six-game losing streak. As for Scott, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Ellis at 4:00  p.m. The last three games Scott has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
