Basketball Recap: Poetry Community Christian Comes Up Short

Poetry Community Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Longview Christian and fell 75-17. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneer this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-16 two weeks ago.

Longview Christian found their leader in sophomore Isabella Smith, who posted 36 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lily Hildebrand, who scored 11 points.

Poetry Community Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Longview Christian, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.

As of now, neither Poetry Community Christian nor Longview Christian have any future games scheduled.
