Preview: Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs
The Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders will be home for the holidays to greet the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Harrells Christian Academy was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 37-36 to Cape Fear Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Harrells Christian Academy has scored all season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Zicareian McNeil, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Samiir Gibbs, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Wake Christian Academy took their match at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 82-54 win over Southeastern HomeSchool. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wake Christian Academy.
It was another big night for Sully Caruso, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Beckett Coon, who scored 16 points along with six assists.
Harrells Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Wake Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
Harrells Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Wake Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 54-49 victory. Does Harrells Christian Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wake Christian Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
