Baseball Recap: Christian Brothers Beats Howell Central for Their Third Straight Victory

Christian Brothers put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Howell Central Spartans by a score of 7-2. The Cadets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Michael Sievers looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Ryan Horne was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of GT Taylor, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Christian Brothers' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Howell Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Christian Brothers will be taking part in a tournament against Troy-Buchanan at 4:30 p.m. on the 31st. As for Howell Central, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Eureka at 4:15 p.m.
