Riverton is 8-2 against Herriman since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Silverwolves will host the Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. Riverton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.5 runs per game this season.

Riverton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Bingham, who was ranked 15th at the time (Riverton was ranked first). The Silverwolves came out on top against the Miners by a score of 4-1 on Thursday. The Silverwolves haven't had any issues with the Miners recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Lexi Huntley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Riverton's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Hamblin, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Herriman's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Mountain Ridge by a score of 2-1.

Sierra Prescott was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.

Riverton's win bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Herriman, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Riverton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .506. However, it's not like Herriman struggles in that department as they've averaged .469. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went Riverton's way against Herriman in their previous meeting back in March, as Riverton made off with a 12-1 victory. Do the Silverwolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
