Baseball Recap: Red Bank Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Red Bank's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Walker Valley Mustangs on Tuesday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

Red Bank saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anyer Alvarez, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Red Bank has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. Walker Valley now has a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Bank will square off against Chattanooga Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Chattanooga Christian will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Red Bank surely won't give up without a fight. As for Walker Valley, they will take on McCallie at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Walker Valley's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while McCallie has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
