Softball Recap: Patterson Takes a Loss

Patterson lost against St. James back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Patterson Lumberjacks lost 16-6 to the St. James Wildcats. The Lumberjacks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Patterson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Laiken Chautin, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That run marked the first that Chautin scored this season. Jaselynn Haven was another, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-1.

Patterson now has a losing record of 2-3. As for St. James, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-3 record.

Coming up, Patterson is taking a road trip to face off against Central Lafourche at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. James, a feisty cat fight will be fought as St. James Wildcats duke it out with Ursuline Academy Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. They are facing Ursuline Academy at the right time seeing as Ursuline Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
