Basketball Recap: Dakota Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

If Port Huron wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Dakota, they should've done a better job of containing Meadow Cameron. The Dakota Cougars walked away with a 52-41 victory over the Port Huron Red Hawks on Friday which was due in part to Cameron, who almost dropped a double-double with 30 points and nine rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Dakota's points.

The win was the third in a row for Dakota, bringing their record for this year to 11-14. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points over those games. As for Port Huron, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Dakota will take on Utica Ford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Port Huron does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
