Northville had won three straight games and Max DeFore did his part to make it four on Friday. The Mustangs enjoyed a cozy 38-23 victory over the Salem Rocks for which the team can thank DeFore, who rushed for 256 yards and three TDs while picking up 15.1 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 121.5 rushing yards per game.

One reason for the win was Northville's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 3.5 sacks. Danny O'Neil refused to say out of the backfield, picking up a sack all by himself. Northville got some further help from Austin McGarrow: he made seven total tackles (1.5 for loss) and defended two passes in addition to snagging an interception.
