Volleyball Recap: Herron Comes Up Short

After flying high against Southwestern on Wednesday, Herron came back down to earth. The Achaeans fell just short of the Covenant Christian Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Achaeans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Herron came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 28-26, 15-13.

The loss snapped Herron's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2 record. As for Covenant Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coincidentally, Herron and Covenant Christian will both be playing Triton Central the next time they take the court. The Achaeans will head out to face the Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
