Softball Recap: Vashon Island Takes a Loss

Vashon Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Bremerton Knights, falling 16-0.

Vashon Island saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucy Otto, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Vashon Island's record now sits at 0-6. As for Bremerton, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

Coming up, Vashon Island is taking a road trip to challenge Klahowya at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Pirates' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Bremerton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Mason at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
