Preview: Fort Mill Yellow Jackets vs. Northwestern Trojans
Fort Mill has been on the road for five straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Northwestern Trojans at 8:00 p.m. Fort Mill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
On Saturday, Fort Mill strolled past Christ Church Episcopal with points to spare, taking the game 67-52. That looming 67-52 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Fort Mill yet this season.
Fort Mill can attribute much of their success to Logan Parker, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds, and Nas Berry, who scored 25 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Berry has scored at least 25% of Fort Mill's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darryl Carrington, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Northwestern's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 58-48 to Fort Mill.
Fort Mill has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Northwestern, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Fort Mill was able to grind out a solid victory over Northwestern in their previous meeting on Friday, winning 58-48. Will Fort Mill repeat their success, or does Northwestern have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
