Hillcrest won the last time they faced South Oak Cliff and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Golden Bears by a score of 5-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Lincoln Hunter was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Carlos Salazar, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Hillcrest's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for South Oak Cliff, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillcrest will square off against Newman Smith at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for South Oak Cliff, they will challenge Sunset at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
