Olathe West entered their tilt with Lawrence Free State on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Firebirds. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Ella Stowell paced Olathe West's offense, picking up 12 kills. Stowell got some help from Neely Leathers and her 23 assists. Grace Yeager controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lawrence Free State's loss came despite strong showings from Taylor Stucker and Brinley Whitney. Stucker had nine digs and one assist, while Whitney had nine digs.

Olathe West's win bumped their record up to 29-7. As for Lawrence Free State, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 20-15.

Olathe West didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Olathe Northwest on the 1st. Lawrence Free State does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
