Football Game Preview: University of Detroit Jesuit Cubs vs. Divine Child Falcons

The University of Detroit Jesuit Cubs will head out on the road to challenge the Divine Child Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. University of Detroit Jesuit, yet to win a game, are hoping to taste some of the success that has characterized Divine Child's (thus far) undefeated season.

University of Detroit Jesuit's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against St. Francis de Sales on Friday. They were beaten by the Knights 34-0.

Meanwhile, Divine Child hadn't done well against Lumen Christi Catholic recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Falcons snuck past the Titans with a 17-13 victory. The 17-point effort marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Divine Child found their leader in sophomore Drew Sheridan, who threw for 206 yards and two TDs on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 38 yards.

University of Detroit Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Divine Child, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Things could have been worse for University of Detroit Jesuit, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 33-17 loss to Divine Child in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Cubs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
