Basketball Recap: Moorefield's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Moorefield lost to Frankfort back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Moorefield Yellow Jackets came out on top against the Frankfort Falcons by a score of 40-30. Given the Yellow Jackets' advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Falcons are ranked 249th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Moorefield's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Frankfort, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Moorefield will face off against Tucker County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tucker County will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Moorefield surely won't give up without a fight. As for Frankfort, they will take on Berkeley Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
