Catholic is a perfect 4-0 against St. Augustine since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Catholic Bears will host the St. Augustine Purple Knights at 5:00 p.m. Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Catholic is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Belen Jesuit just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 5-3.

Jack Ruckert was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Noah Lewis, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, St. Augustine unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 11-6 to John Curtis Christian.

Kenyon Hughes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Fields, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 17-4. As for St. Augustine, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Catholic has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .431. However, it's not like St. Augustine struggles in that department as they've averaged .450. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
