Flag Football Recap: Scottsdale Christian Academy Skates Past Highland Prep with Ease

While Scottsdale Christian Academy put up plenty of points on Thursday, the same can't be said for Highland Prep. The Eagles claimed a resounding 40-0 victory over the Honey Badgers. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona flag football rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Honey Badgers are ranked 81st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Scottsdale Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Campbell Reader, who threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.2% of her passes, and also rushed for 52 yards and one score. Jolee Baddeley was another key player, picking up 86 receiving yards and three TDs.

Scottsdale Christian Academy has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 points this season. As for Highland Prep, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Scottsdale Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 31-0 victory against Thunderbird on the 29th. As for Highland Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-0 defeat against Page on the 30th.
