Softball Recap: Morton Takes a Loss

The Morton Indians lost 21-5 to the Post Antelopes on Saturday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alison Yanez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Jlynn Marquez, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Morton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Post, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Morton will take on Crosbyton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Morton has given up an average of 15.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Post, they will challenge New Home at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
