San Diego Academy lost against Steele Canyon back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cavaliers lost 3-0 to the Cougars. The Cavaliers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While San Diego Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21, 25-23.

Jason Love paced San Diego Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Love got some help from Dustin Jewell and his 23 assists. Love was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

San Diego Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Steele Canyon, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-8.

Coming up, San Diego Academy is taking a road trip to face off against Escondido Adventist Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cavaliers are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a four-game losing streak. Steele Canyon has already played their next contest (against Valhalla), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
