Baseball Game Preview: Tennyson Lancers vs. Ygnacio Valley Wolves

The Tennyson Lancers will face off against the Ygnacio Valley Wolves at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Tennyson is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Ygnacio Valley. Tennyson sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over Ygnacio Valley on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lancers as it spelled an end to their 13-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Nick Zamora made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Zamora was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Tennyson came out on top in a nail-biter against Ygnacio Valley in their previous matchup on Wednesday, sneaking past 4-2. Does Tennyson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ygnacio Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
