Lincoln Northwest dropped their record down to 10-15 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 6-0 to the Bennington Badgers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Badgers this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-3 defeat back in April.

Lincoln Northwest got a good showing from Kael Shearer, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Shearer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

As for Bennington, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-3. The result was nothing new for the Badgers, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

On Bennington's side, the result came thanks to Brandt Schmidt's shutout, as he gave up just a hit.

On the hitting side, Aidan Smith was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 12 matchups. Another player making a difference was Charlie Swoboda, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Lincoln Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bennington, they have already played their next contest, a 7-3 win against Wahoo/Bishop Neumann on the 9th.
