Football Recap: Arcadia Comes Up Short on the Road Against El Monte + How To Watch

Arcadia had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a blow against the El Monte Lions on Friday, falling 44-6.

Addison 'AJ' Pressnall threw for 123 yards on 11 of 31 attempts. Tyler Rangsuebsin was his top target, picking up 60 receiving yards. On the ground, Ethan Long rushed for 81 yards.

El Monte's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alex Aleman led the charge by throwing for 265 yards and three TDs, while also punching in one score on the ground. Those 265 passing yards gave Aleman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aaron Rivera, who rushed for 160 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.

Arcadia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-16 loss against South Pasadena on the 29th. As for El Monte, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 40-0 win against Alhambra on the 29th.
