South Pasadena took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Temple City with a sharp 4-1 win.

South Pasadena hit Temple City with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alice Rowley, Rose Vandevelde, Kennedy Chang, and Kaia Trainedes.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Monrovia's offense. They fell just short of La Canada by a score of 1-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Spartans are ranked 62nd).

South Pasadena's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four contests. As for Monrovia, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1-1 and their overall record down to 8-4-3.
