Softball Recap: Kempsville Takes a Loss

Kempsville was the 7-6 winner over First Colonial when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Chiefs fell 6-3 to the Patriots on Friday.

Kempsville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for First Colonial, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kempsville will welcome Cox at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chiefs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for First Colonial, they will take on Ocean Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
